Kimberly Gonzalez is a criminal defense attorney and Senior Trial Attorney at Michael & Associates Criminal Defense Attorneys with nearly 20 years of legal experience representing clients in serious misdemeanor and felony criminal cases. A former Assistant District Attorney and capital defense attorney, she brings a unique combination of prosecution and defense experience to every case she handles.

Before entering private practice, Kimberly served for more than a decade as an Assistant District Attorney, prosecuting complex criminal cases with a primary focus on crimes against children and family violence. During that time, she handled sensitive felony prosecutions, prepared cases for trial, and gained extensive courtroom experience, earning a reputation for thorough preparation, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to justice.

Kimberly later joined the Regional Public Defender for Capital Cases, where she represented indigent clients charged with capital murder and facing the death penalty. Defending clients in some of the most complex and high-stakes criminal proceedings required meticulous investigation, strategic motion practice, and skilled courtroom advocacy to protect her clients' constitutional rights.

Today, Kimberly represents individuals facing a broad range of criminal charges in private practice. A seasoned trial attorney, she has successfully handled numerous complex and high-profile criminal cases throughout her career. Her experience on both sides of the courtroom allows her to anticipate prosecutorial strategies, identify weaknesses in the State's evidence, and develop strategic, client-focused defenses designed to achieve the best possible outcome.

Outside of her legal practice, Kimberly enjoys spending time with her two children and supporting them in their many activities.
