About Marissa
Marissa is an experienced criminal trial attorney with more than 14 years in the courtroom. She has handled serious felony cases from start to finish and brings substantial jury trial experience from both sides of the criminal justice system.
Before transitioning to criminal defense, Marissa spent over a decade as a prosecutor, including roles in Bexar County and Potter County, where she handled both misdemeanor and felony cases and served as a lead trial attorney. Her background also includes work in the Bexar County Magistrate’s Office and federal disaster relief with the Small Business Administration, giving her a broad understanding of government systems and courtroom procedure.
At Michael & Associates, Marissa focuses on criminal defense, using her prosecutorial experience to anticipate how cases are charged, structured, and tried.
